Accessibility
1.What we aim for
We want everyone who trades to be able to use FloSignals, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard alone, voice control, magnification or high-contrast settings. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA for the website, the member pages and the Trade Journal. We are not there yet everywhere, and this page says where.
2.What works today
- The marketing pages and these legal pages are plain HTML with headings, landmarks and text that reflows at 400% zoom.
- Links and buttons are reachable by keyboard, and the focus is visible.
- The Trade Journal's entries, tags and statistics are text, and your trades can be exported as CSV to read in any tool you prefer.
- Colour is not the only carrier of meaning on the text pages; every chart theme's text and buy/sell colours are checked against WCAG contrast ratios.
- The cookie banner and the privacy-request form are ordinary forms that work with a screen reader.
3.What does not work yet
We would rather tell you now than let you find out:
- FloCharts is a drawn canvas. The liquidity heatmap, the footprint and the order-book ladder are painted pixels; a screen reader cannot read them, and the values they show are not available as text. Keyboard navigation inside the chart is limited.
- The heatmap relies on colour intensity to show size. There is no non-colour alternative for it today.
- Live trading from the chart is operated with the mouse and has not been tested with assistive technology; we do not recommend relying on it with a screen reader.
- Screenshots attached to journal entries carry no description unless you add one in the notes.
- The Discord community runs on Discord's software, whose accessibility is Discord's to state.
[owner: list the items above that have a fix scheduled, and when — or say that none is scheduled yet]
4.If something is in your way
Tell us what you were trying to do and we will try to get you there another way — a CSV export, a text summary, a page without the chart, or a walkthrough on a call. Write to [support@flosignals.com or flosignals@gmail.com — pick one] with "Accessibility" in the subject. We reply within [owner: proposed 5 business days].
5.How we check
We test with a keyboard alone and with the screen readers built into current browsers and operating systems, and we run automated checks on new pages. We have not had an independent accessibility audit; when we do, we will publish its findings here.
6.European Accessibility Act
The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) applies from 28 June 2025 to consumer digital services offered in the EU, with an exemption for very small companies. This statement is our accessibility statement for that purpose. If you are in the EU and believe we are not meeting it, you may also tell the market-surveillance authority for your country. [owner/counsel: confirm whether the micro-enterprise exemption applies to the entity]
