Copyright & Takedowns
1.What is ours
The FloSignals website, the indicators we publish on TradingView, FloCharts, FloScript, Quant, the Trade Journal, our designs, text, videos and documentation are copyright [FloSignals LLC — confirm legal name and state of formation] or its licensors. A membership lets you use them; it does not let you copy, republish, resell or redistribute them, and the indicators we publish stay ours wherever they run.
2.What is yours
Scripts you write, journal entries, screenshots, layouts, notes and posts are yours. You give us only the licence needed to store, show and process them for you. A private script is never shown to or reused for another member.
The scripts exception. FloScript is dual-licensed (AGPL-3.0 or our commercial licence), and as its copyright holder we grant an additional permission under AGPL section 7: programs written in FloScript or in the Pine-compatible syntax it accepts, the values, plots, shapes and alerts they produce when FloScript runs them, and the output of the FloScript converter, are not covered by FloScript's licence and are not derivative works of it. A script belongs to its author and may be kept private, published, sold or licensed on any terms the author chooses. The permission covers scripts and their output only, not FloScript itself or software that embeds it.
3.Trademarks
"FloSignals", "FloCharts", "FloScript" and the FloSignals mark are trademarks of [FloSignals LLC — confirm legal name and state of formation]. Do not use them to name a product, a community or a service, or in a way that suggests we endorse something we do not. "TradingView" and "Pine Script" are trademarks of TradingView, Inc.; "Toobit", "Bybit", "Binance" and other venue names belong to their owners. Those names are used here only to say what the software connects to. FloSignals is not affiliated with TradingView; our commercial relationships with exchanges are disclosed in the Risk Disclaimer.
4.Forking FloScript: the code, not the name
FloScript's code is open source under the AGPL, so you may fork it, change it and distribute your version under that licence. The name is not part of that grant. If you distribute a modified FloScript:
- give it a name of your own, and do not use "FloScript", "FloCharts" or "FloSignals" in the product's name, package name, domain, repository name or social handle;
- you may say, truthfully, that it is "based on FloScript" or "compatible with FloScript", in plain text and not as a logo;
- keep the copyright notices and the NOTICE file, including the scripts exception, as the licence requires;
- do not suggest we made, endorse or support your version.
Unmodified copies may keep the name. The same rules apply to anyone who runs FloScript as a service. Ask us at [support@flosignals.com or flosignals@gmail.com — pick one] if you want to do something these rules do not cover.
5.The Library: scripts we port from open-source originals
The FloSignals Library hosts open-source TradingView scripts ported to FloScript, each under its original licence (the Mozilla Public License 2.0, or a permissive licence) with its original author named, a link to where it came from, the licence header kept at the top of the file and the changes noted. The ported file is published under the same licence on its page, which is what the MPL asks of a modified file. The full list is on the Licences & Notices page.
If you are the author of an original and believe a port is not allowed by its licence, is credited wrongly, or should not be here, write to the agent below with the script's page and what is wrong; a takedown request for a Library script is handled exactly as one for a member's script, and we take the port down while we look. If you simply want your name, the link or the licence line corrected, say so and we correct it.
6.Reporting infringement
This process covers material stored on our own service — scripts, screenshots, layouts, posts on our pages. For a message or a file posted in the Discord, use Discord's own copyright report; we will also act on it as the Community Rules allow.
If something on the service is your copyrighted work and is there without your permission, send a notice to our designated agent, registered with the US Copyright Office:
[name of designated agent — register it in the Copyright Office's DMCA directory under the same name], [FloSignals LLC — confirm legal name and state of formation], [registered address, if required], [support@flosignals.com or flosignals@gmail.com — pick one]
Include everything the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)) asks for:
- the work you say is infringed;
- where on the service the infringing material is (a link, a script name, a page);
- your name, address, phone number and email;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorised to act for them;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We remove or disable access to material a complete notice identifies, tell the member who posted it, and give them a copy of the notice.
7.Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send the agent a counter-notice with: what was removed and where it was; your name, address, phone number and email; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the US, for ours) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice; and your signature. We forward it to that person, and unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have gone to court, we restore the material within 10 to 14 business days of receiving your counter-notice.
8.Repeat infringers
We end the membership of anyone who repeatedly posts material that is not theirs to post, and we may do so after a single clear case.
